Short. This also reminds me of how preachers and other Christians behave online. We repeat, share, and pass around stories without any verification but we're so sure it has to be true because all our christian friends know it to be true and it ruins our credibility when sharing the gospel.

On multiple occasions I've been told "the point is still true" when pointing out a picture has been manipulated, headline misleading, etc. If preachers can bend the truth to make illustrations from the pulpit it doesn't bode well for the standards we set for our daily communications and mindsets.

Re: Der Über Prediger

O.U.T.S.T.A.N.D.I.N.G.

Re: Preach the Word

Well written, and I couldn't agree more. Thanks for writing this, and may God use it to teach us who handle the Word to be faithful to the God-inspired meaning of the Text.

Re: How to …

Hello,

We are a not-for-profit educational organization founded by Mortimer Adler and we have recently made an exciting discovery—three years after writing the wonderfully expanded third edition of How to Read a Book, Mortimer Adler and Charles Van Doren made a series of thirteen 14-minute videos—lively discussing the art of reading. The videos were produced by Encyclopaedia Britannica. For reasons unknown, sometime after their original publication, these videos were lost.

Three hours with Mortimer Adler and Charles Van Doren, lively discussing the art of reading on one DVD. A must for all readers, libraries and classroom teaching the art of reading.

I cannot exaggerate how instructive these programs are—we are so sure that you will agree, if you are not completely satisfied, we will refund your donation.

Please go here to see a clip and learn more:

http://www.thegreatideas.or...

ISBN: 978-1-61535-311-8

Thank you,

Max Weismann, Co-founder with Dr. Adler

Re: The Reading Preacher

Dear Sir, thank you for this new blog and though I am not a preacher I am a young man who has greatly has a need to grow in grace and the knowledge of our Saviour.
